Liberty of London is a British luxury department store that is renowned for its distinctive fabric prints and designs. It was founded in 1875 by Arthur Liberty and has since become a world-famous destination for shoppers seeking unique and high-quality textiles, clothing, accessories, and homeware. The store is particularly well-known for its floral and paisley prints, which have been used to create a range of products. Liberty's prints are created in-house by a team of designers and are often inspired by historical patterns or exotic locations.
Today, Liberty of London remains a popular destination for fashion and design enthusiasts who value the store's commitment to quality, creativity, and timeless style.
Its 2021 branded advent calendar is a luxurious and elegant way to count down the days to Christmas, and it is sure to impress anyone who receives it. For any special occasion or milestone, a luxury advent calendar is the ideal solution to celebrate with event launches, product launches, corporate giveaways, or promotional gifts. It is also a great way to count down to the start of a new season.
The calendar itself is made from a rigid board as it could be a way for Liberty's of London to showcase their brand in a unique and memorable way while also offering a high-quality product that appeals to customers looking for a more premium advent calendar option.
With so many different types of custom advent calendars available on the market, it can be challenging for companies to stand out. Creating a rigid board advent calendar could be a way for Liberty's of London to differentiate themselves from their competitors and offer a unique product that customers can't find elsewhere.
1000 micron rigid box board was used for the main structure including the doors which are attached to the main tray. Both doors open up from the centre to create a wardrobe effect. On one door there is an additional board sat underneath with magnets so when it does close it sticks together. A belly band packaging sleeve is then placed around the centre of the calendar with a matching design to the front and back.
External Dimensions: 430mm x H 430mm W x 110mm D
Another key aspect of Liberty of London's luxury status is its iconic prints, which are often inspired by nature and feature bold, vibrant colours. These prints have become synonymous with the brand and are instantly recognizable to many people around the world.
One of their infamous designs have been used as the interior design of the calendar. Both the doors and drawers have the same repeat pattern printed design paper to create a seamless image. The drawers then have raised gold foil printed numbers to match the inner design.
The internal tray and each drawer is made from 1000 micron rigid board. Individual shelf dividers have been placed for the drawers to be slotted into with the drawers having a thumb cut out to easily be removed from its slot.
The framework and lining of the box drawers have been made to the same gold colour as the design to create an aesthetically pleasing flow of pattern.
Dimensions of a drawer: 105mm L x 82mm W x 82mm D
The decision to use the Liberty building as the design for their luxury advent calendar stems from a desire to celebrate the store's heritage and iconic design. The printed advent calendar is a festive way for the store to showcase their unique style and design aesthetic, and using the building as the design for the calendar is a way to incorporate that iconic look into the holiday season.
Additionally, the company advent calendar is a luxury product, and using the Liberty building as the design adds a touch of exclusivity and sophistication to the product. The building is recognized as a symbol of quality and taste, and incorporating it into the design of the calendar helps to reinforce these qualities in the minds of consumers.
The design was done in full colour print with touches of white foil print to add a bolder effect to the snow on the building. The logo on the back of the calendar has been done in a gold foil print to represent a luxurious and royal connotation.
