MS Lending is an amazing example of our luxury advent calendars. They were looking into having a fun way to countdown to Christmas but the same time use it as a marketing technique to keep clients, prospects and customers interested. This is such a good way to implant their business into their heads and potentially reengage them into using their products and services.
Magellan produced a 24 drawer rigid board calendar with a full colour CMYK print matching the aesthetic of the brand. 18 different miniature drinks were used across the 24 drawers, all mixed so that there were no two consecutive days that had the same drink.
The team here at Magellan, designed, sourced, manufactured, personally fulfilled and packaged all 80 bespoke calendars and sent them to individual UK mainland addresses.
The Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar is an annual limited edition rigid board advent calendar that features a collection of luxury beauty products from a variety of high-end brands. Consisting of 25 different sized rigid drawers all black line boarded to keep the sleek appearance even from the inside.
The outer sleeve, luxury calendar and drawers all match with a unique, decorative Wibalin Fine Linen navy textured paper and gold foil detailing for the text. The stunning blue and gold design adds to its allure and makes it an eye-catching addition to any room.
Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar 2021
We have another case study showcasing an older Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar fit with reciprocating magnets and luxury shoulder box design. Fine linen material with black and gold foil printing to create a luxurious feel. The rigid board ensures that the calendar maintains its shape and durability throughout the entire 25-day period, and can even be reused in future years if desired.
Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar 2018
In 2021 and 2022 John Lewis released a beauty advent calendar consisting of 25 box drawers filled with exquisite goodies. Both calendars have the same external dimensions, setup and design.
A shoulder box effect was made from an inner tray being placed inside the outer tray with 3-sided tray doors hinged on. 3mm rigid board calendar and inner framework with 1.5mm assorted sized rigid board box drawers.
The only differences between the two are that the 2021 John Lewis advent calendar does come with an outer sleeve matching the calendars design and the drawers are slightly different inside for them both. Check out the John Lewis beauty advent calendar case studies below.
Liberty produced a 1000 micron rigid board bespoke advent calendar with a belly band packaging sleeve placed around the centre of the calendar which matches the design of the whole calendar.
A popular example of these prints has been utilized for the interior design of a calendar. The doors and drawers of the calendar are adorned with the same repeating pattern, creating a seamless image. The drawers also feature raised gold foil printed numbers that match the inner design.

Featuring a wide cross grain ribbon bow running from the front to the back through 40mm wide oval shape slots. 1.5mm rigid board sturdy boxes sit on a sturdy 3mm framework with each box wrapped in a basic white paper and has a foiled number on it for easy identification.
Attention to detail was widely looked at with this calendar with the material used and white raised spot foiling for the logo to make everything pop and stand out.

We had 1400 traditional calendars and A5 greeting cards manufactured for Navien and sent out to their clients and customers.
Navien's design was well thought out, they wanted their brand across the calendar quite a bit but in a way that it looks just like the design to really keep their business top of mind. Navien then wished to have Christmas cards to match the design of the calendar to give that extra touch for their customers. All of the calendars and cards were placed in individual outer mailers and sent to each person through next day delivery.

OneSource Virtual envisioned traditional advent calendars and Christmas cards for their customers, prospects and partners. This company had some additional extra's by having a foiled back and 30 perforated doors instead of 25.
The design for both the custom calendar and cards had similar designs with a bold and bright image to link with eachother. 30 doors were used instead to create a longer countdown and add an extra bit of excitement for the festive season.
This was a very big project with Magellan producing 4000 of each to be sent out in a small timeframe.
Carwow initially approached us for 1200 traditional advent calendars to send out to their customers and the car manufacturers they work with to say thankyou and a merry Christmas. The project went so well that they came back the next year to get more of the same style of calendar but with a different design.
Each year the print itself was done to match their logo and provide an eye-catching image for the front. Carwow chose to have 25 perforated doors on a traditional advent calendar without the foil backing.
