MS Lending
MS Lending is an amazing example of our luxury advent calendars. They were looking into having a fun way to countdown to Christmas but the same time use it as a marketing technique to keep clients, prospects and customers interested. This is such a good way to implant their business into their heads and potentially reengage them into using their products and services.
Magellan produced a 24 drawer rigid board calendar with a full colour CMYK print matching the aesthetic of the brand. 18 different miniature drinks were used across the 24 drawers, all mixed so that there were no two consecutive days that had the same drink.
The team here at Magellan, designed, sourced, manufactured, personally fulfilled and packaged all 80 bespoke calendars and sent them to individual UK mainland addresses.
Harrods
The Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar is an annual limited edition rigid board advent calendar that features a collection of luxury beauty products from a variety of high-end brands. Consisting of 25 different sized rigid drawers all black line boarded to keep the sleek appearance even from the inside.
The outer sleeve, luxury calendar and drawers all match with a unique, decorative Wibalin Fine Linen navy textured paper and gold foil detailing for the text. The stunning blue and gold design adds to its allure and makes it an eye-catching addition to any room.
We have another case study showcasing an older Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar fit with reciprocating magnets and luxury shoulder box design. Fine linen material with black and gold foil printing to create a luxurious feel. The rigid board ensures that the calendar maintains its shape and durability throughout the entire 25-day period, and can even be reused in future years if desired.
Guinness 12 Day Drinks Advent Calendars
For the 2023 holiday season, Magellan partnered with Guinness to create an exclusive 12-day advent calendar, showcasing a curated selection of premium miniature alcohol bottles.

Geoteric

John Lewis
In 2021 and 2022 John Lewis released a beauty advent calendar consisting of 25 box drawers filled with exquisite goodies. Both calendars have the same external dimensions, setup and design.
A shoulder box effect was made from an inner tray being placed inside the outer tray with 3-sided tray doors hinged on. 3mm rigid board calendar and inner framework with 1.5mm assorted sized rigid board box drawers.
The only differences between the two are that the 2021 John Lewis advent calendar does come with an outer sleeve matching the calendars design and the drawers are slightly different inside for them both. Check out the John Lewis beauty advent calendar case studies below.
Charlotte Tilbury

Carwow
Carwow initially approached us for 1200 traditional advent calendars to send out to their customers and the car manufacturers they work with to say thankyou and a merry Christmas. The project went so well that they came back the next year to get more of the same style of calendar but with a different design.
Each year the print itself was done to match their logo and provide an eye-catching image for the front. Carwow chose to have 25 perforated doors on a traditional advent calendar without the foil backing.

Net-a-Porter, the luxury fashion and beauty retailer, has created a stunning Beauty Advent Calendar for 2021 that’s perfect for the holiday season. Featuring 25 beautifully designed box drawers, each with a high-end product inside, this calendar is both elegant and practical. Selfridges has elevated the holiday season with its bespoke luxury advent calendar, embodying its iconic status and commitment to sophistication. Featuring a gold foil depiction of the Selfridges building, signature yellow branding, and a sleek clamshell design, the calendar includes 25 custom-sized drawers crafted from durable rigid board, each lined with Selfridges’ signature yellow and filled with premium items.

OneSource Virtual
OneSource Virtual envisioned traditional advent calendars and Christmas cards for their customers, prospects and partners. This company had some additional extra’s by having a foiled back and 30 perforated doors instead of 25.
The design for both the custom calendar and cards had similar designs with a bold and bright image to link with eachother. 30 doors were used instead to create a longer countdown and add an extra bit of excitement for the festive season.
This was a very big project with Magellan producing 4000 of each to be sent out in a small timeframe.
Jo Malone

Navien
Navien, a leader in the UK gas and boiler industry for over 40 years, turned to us to create festive gifts for their clients and customers. We designed 1,400 traditional advent calendars filled with luxury milk chocolates, paired with custom A5 Christmas cards and mailers, all crafted to reflect Navien’s brand.
The calendars featured full-color designs with branded details, while the elegant cards added a personal touch. By managing production and packing in one facility, we ensured quick delivery of this memorable holiday campaign.
