The Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Advent Calendar for 2020 was an exceptional piece of craftsmanship. The external dimensions of the box were 270mm W x 160mm D x 255mm H, making it a substantial size that would stand out amongst other advent calendars. The box was constructed with a 2mm rigid board that ensured it was sturdy and durable. This was particularly important as the contents of the advent calendar were premium luxury beauty products that required a box that would protect them.

The advent calendar was designed with a magnetic flap at the top that could be lifted open with ease. The magnetic flap ensured that the box remained securely closed when not in use. Upon opening the magnetic flap, a ribbon held the lip open on either side, providing a clear view of the contents of the box. The top of the box was hinged on at the back with paper, which added to the elegance and sophistication of the design.

When the lid was opened, the depth of the tray inside was 30mm internal. This provided ample space to store the 12 luxury beauty products that were included in the advent calendar. The tray was also designed with individual compartments to keep the products separate and organized.

Although there is wasted space on the two sides of the calendar due to the non-hexagonal shape of the drawers, this does not take away from its overall functionality and charm.

The slots made for the drawers to slide in are well-crafted and efficient, allowing for easy access to each compartment. The dividers, made from 3mm rigid board, provide the necessary stability and organization for the contents of the drawers. The top large drawers are staggered, giving the calendar an interesting visual appeal while still maintaining its practicality.

The drawers themselves vary in size, with the larger ones measuring 150mm D x 110mm W x 30mm H and the smaller ones measuring 150mm D x 72mm W x 30mm H. The large drawer at the bottom has the same width and depth as the others, but with a height of 45mm, while the smaller drawer next to it has the same dimensions as the other small drawers but with the increased height of 45mm. Some of the drawers even feature small folding box board fitments made with the same paper, and are lined with bronze paper, adding to the overall aesthetic of the Advent Calendar.
